Like any Quartz Coating, proper prep of the surface is key. You want to make sure the paint is completely free of any polishing oils or lubricants from any soaps.We want a pure interaction between the paint and the coating. GYEON Q2M Prep should always be used, and if heavy polishing with an oily product has taken place then a wash with a heavy degreaser is recommended.
Once the paint is clean it is time to coat!

Apply 4-6 drops of Q2 Prime on to your Foam Block and Suede Applicator combo. Work a small area at a time, about a 2’ x 2’ section. Flash times (when the coating is ready to be removed) will vary depending on temperature and humidity.Remove the coating sooner than later until you find the sweet spot, usually right around 20-30 seconds.

Thorough removal of Q2 Prime is very important. Any product left on the surface will harden and require polishing to remove. Use brand new and high quality microfiber towels for removal. Fold the towels in to a perfect square, giving you 8 fresh sides to work with as needed.It is also a good idea to use a handheld swirl finder light during removal. This way you can play with the angle of the light and make sure you have all excess coating off of the surface.

If you are going to layer Q2 Prime, wait at least 1 hour between layers. The coating should remain perfectly dry for the first 24 hours and not washed with any detergents for the first 7 days.
