I currently have the 3401, what other Flex tool would you add to the detailing aresinal? XFE7-15 or XFE 7-12 3" mini?

From the above two the mini would complement the 3401 nicely.

I would go with the Mini. I have converted my PC7424XP to a mini as I outgrew it. I use it for wax application and a mini-DA. My 3401 is the Beastmode DA that does everything else!

I just received the mini about a week ago. It is quite a nice little machine. Smooth, quiet and powerful.

It's a heavy little thing isn't it.

It's definitely built solid, but still very easy to use one handed!

Even though I don't have the mini (yet), thats what my vote would go toward as well. As others have said, it will get into the tight areas the 3401 would have a hard time with.
Looking forward to some more feedback on this tool once more people get some time with it!

I'd like to see a side by side size comaprison of this next to the Rupes Mini.
I have a Mini so no reason for me to buy one of these as it would be redundant.
I really like the ergonomics of the Rupes Mini and Duetto.
Being left handed I also like where Rupes positions their on / off switch on top, not on the side.
