Is it compatible with the standard 3" backplates? Im thinking about getting one to make it a dedicated 3" DA.

Well it's against the forums rules to post none AG products.

Have you tried asking on the HF detailing forum for help on how to use and switch up their DA?

It is but its to heavy and it has a big metal sleeve on the end thats the same size as the backing plate so its really not good with the 3" pads

if you want a 3" DA backing plate for your HF DA (or any other traditional pc-syle DA), pick this one up...

Yes...
As long as the 3" backing plates
have 5/16"-24 threaded arbors.
