I just purchased the Rupes LHR 75E Mini Random Orbital Polisher. I also purchased a number of Rupes pads used for polishing and compounding (4" pad made for 3" rupes backing plate). What pad can I purchase for applying a wax or sealant with. All rupes pads have some cut. Can I use a 4 inch Lake country ccs red smart pad even though the Rupes backing plate is 3 inches?

I use a 4" blue or black buff & shine pad

The lowest OPM for this polisher is 4000 OPM

Get ready to start moving the tool as soon as you turn it on.

The white RUPES foam pad is a super soft finishing pad, I use it to spread waxes and sealants all the time.

I Agree with Mike. The white Rupes is great for wax/Sealant application.

Is the white soft enough even though the lowest OPM on the mini is 4000 or is that irrelevant?

Hmm. It’s a non issue on my gg3 and I crank it up pretty good when I’m working fast and applying Sealants. It’s a really soft foam. You worried about hazing at that rpm? I’m guessing any cut it has when in use is gonna come from the abrasive. Better get thoughts from someone that has that polisher.
