Diff b/n sealant and a spray wax?

Looking to protect the paint my wifes car and give it a decent shine. What's the diff between something like Wolfgang Paint Sealant and Meguiar's D15601. If I only use the d156 do I still need the paint sealant? Or vice versa? thanks.
One other thing, can wolfgangs or another popular one be bought at autozone or pep boys?

wgps is a dedicated paint sealant that will give you months of protection where d156 is more like a maintenance product to help extend protection in between washes. i wouldn't count on using d156 as a stand alone product for protection but more of a booster/extender...

Yes, it will be fine as a topper and as said, extends the life and adds shine
