I've been reading how great AW is (assuming full strength) and also reading that if used too many times at full strength that some dulling can occur. So my question is..... Should I just dilute it with something like DG921 fast & clean shine and not use the AW at full strength? I know some say cut it 25% AW to 75% FCS, but it seems to me that 50/50 would work out better for making purchases of each product. I'm thinking with a 50/50 mix the dulling may not be a issue. Any thoughts on this?

Use it straight.

I used it straight for "real waxing" and 1:1 with water for drying aid/quick wax.

50/50 with 921 works fine. If you've already applied AW in the last 2-3 weeks I would think 25% AW works as well. I haven't diluted with water but that likely works as well. You may also want to try 931/932 mixed as a QD (about 10:1, maybe 8:1). It works well over AW and is cheaper than 921. Note that it can be a little splotchy if you don't buff it out. Those areas wipe off easily.

I would use it straight every month..If you use it straight do it on monthly basis..if you like to use it after each wash then dilute 50/50 with 921..

i use dg rinseless wash w/ aquawax diluted 10:1 and compared to aquawax, i really don't notice much of a difference and it's still super slick...

50/50 works great! I used to use 25/75 but I agree it makes more sense to dilute 50/50. Flashes a little fast at 50/50 which is even better IMO

I guess it all depends on how much of the cleaning power of the FCS you want to preserve.

Agreed. I'm using this more and more. AW is easier to remove. Otherwise, very similar results. How do you find the durability of rinseless as QD vs. AW? I haven't checked this. I usually get weeks of water beading from AW.

Interesting !!!! I may have to try this.

I bought a gallon of the DG rinseless, and the instructions on the back say to mix 3 ounces of product to 16 oz of water to make a Q.D. That's what I did,and it really works great. It holds up really well! It beads nice and tight, and for a good bit of time. It looks good too! Next time I run out I will try diluting down more as others in this thread have done.

I did a side by side test on my car with Uber rinseless as a Q.D. The Uber and DG were pretty much neck and neck in the looks and slickness department, but the DG thumped Uber pretty bad as far as beading.

^^^ At that ratio (5:1) it's almost like apply a spray wax rather than a waterless, imo. Not sure about the durability relative to something like Aquawax. Will try to compare the two if I get a chance.

I used the 75/25 ratio with my FCS/AW and I'm very impressed. I actually mixed up the whole gallon. According to one of the brothers at DG, the 3:1 mix is enough to clean any buildup of AW that may occur after frequent repeated use of AW. I suppose you could mix it at any ratio you prefer, depending on your desired balance of clean vs shine properties, but I like the 3:1 ratio enough that I'll use straight AW most of the time as a drying aid, with the mix every month or so.

for me that dilution is a little too much especially considering how concentrated it is. that's why i experimented and tried it at 10:1 (1 & 1/2 ounces of product to 14 & 1/2 ounces of water) dilution which works just as good and doesn't streak with less wipes to remove it. since using this (for a long time now), i don't bother buying aquawax anymore...

Check. I found < 10:1 too streaky and difficult to remove as well. At that ratio can still be a little smeary on windows, but comes off easily.

btw, is the smell of DG rinseless bubblegum? Or do I just think that because it's pink?
