I was told in cold weather you should use a heat gun. Hairdryer wont work.
Have any of you guys done this??

I wouldn't get a heat gun close to auto paint. It can blister paint before you know what's happened.

I heard mixed results ... what I have seen work first hand is the Dent Doctor. Pulled a small dent from wifes door in 3-4 minutes.

I've also used the dent doctor on three or four dents my wife had on her car (hate thatparking lot at her work) and was very pleased with the results.

As long as there isn't a crease in the body work it may work...

Where did you get Dent Doctor? When I googled it, the website was a service where you go to them to get the service.

You used both dry ice and compressed air? I figured you would use one or the other to cool the paint surface after you have heated it with a hair dryer.

Could you describe the process?

I saw a device on TV called the Ding King and heard it works pretty well. One of those "as seen on tv" products.

I've used both methods;hair dryer and dry ice and hair dryer and compressed air. Sorry if I was unclear, it is an either or on the dry ice and compressed air. Not both.

If you search on youtube.com for "dents dry ice" there are a lot of videos out there that show how to do this.

I do have the order right correct? First heat it with the hair dryer then cool it with compressed air or dry ice.
