I chronicled a 3 step on my mother-in-law's ford edge earlier this year. Last week, she traded it in on a brand new Lincoln MKT. Think of it as a fancy ford explorer. Since she and my father in law watch our 2 kids a couple days a week when my wife and I both work (we have odd schedules) and refuse to take a penny from us taking care of her cars is something I can do to say thanks. This was fun. I've never gotten my hands on a brand new car. I was in a bit of a rush, so I elected to not do any correction. I've had a bottle of McKee's High Def sealant I've been wanting to try for a while on my cars but our inconsiderate neighbors mentioned in another post don't know how to water their lawn, and I had water spots etched in both my vehicles requiring AIO instead. My process:

Wash with meg's gold class and a little uber to soften the water
Decon with McKee's iron remover
Clay
Wipe down with Car Pro Eraser
McKees high-def sealant applied with a PC using black CCS pad or hand on the tight spots
McKee's tire and rubber rejuvinator
McKee's wheel coating
McKee's plastic trim restorer
Pinnacle Leather cleaner and conditioner
PBL Leather and vinyl coating
Glass cleaned with Stoners

I haven't done a white car in a while so it was fun to watch the iron remover do it's thing. It was also amazing to see how much a "brand new" car bled. Additionally, I don't know what the dealer used on the tires, but that crap slung, and it was a bear to get off the fenders and rockers. I scrubbed the tires once, and decided not to add anything to them because it was still there. The stuff is like tar. I'll have to attack them again as it wears off. I would have liked to use at least an AIO on it, but time didn't allow and the paint seemed to be in good shape (white is hard to tell). High Def paint sealant was a pleasure to use. It was amazing how far a couple small dots on a pad would go. I let it sit on the panels as I started working on the interior. After about an hour, it wiped off effortlessly and I could feel it getting slicker as it cured. I honestly think it will look even better tomorrow. Thanks for looking!
