i Was Looking At These On Ebay And They Have A Couple For A Little Over 200. M I Nutts For Buying One? Im Thinking About It . Joe Dont Say Anything!!!:d Im Just Looking:dare they worth it?

If it's just going to be used to check for paint imperfections how about a Brinkman and add a paint thickness gauge for under 100.

Or you could get one of these for $145.
Infratech INF CM5300 Color Matcher. It's not as portable as the sun gun but what I do like about it is that it has 2 lights instead of just one.

I bought a sun gun about a month ago and i love it. Is it worth the money? Thats for you decide, but for me it was.

For me Sun Gun at $300 was a no go. At $200 it might have been a go if it weren't for two things: a) total cost of ownership (cost of replacement battery and bulb) being high, b) CM5300 being $145-ish, not needing battery, and manufacturer of CM5300 being within short driving distance from me if I need replacement bulb.

Yup, and the Pro Gauge II is magnetic, unlike your quality Electric measurements.
