i Have A Gallon Of The De Ice Washer Fluid. And Was Wondering Is This Stuff Safe If It Comes In Contact With The Paint?

From my experience, washer fluid in general will degrade the paint because of the chemicals that are used to make it.

Once it warms up again, I'll be using a mixture of ONR and water to make my own washer fluid that won't harm the paint.

I would think considerations to guard against paint damage goes into the making of washer fluid. That said, I tend to keep it simple. I use regular washer. That's not to say washer fluid won't damage your paint, I'm saying it's got to be relatively safe on the finish

Oops, I meant degrade the existing wax or sealant on the paint, but I think you knew what I meant.

I use 50% water to 50% washer fluid mix in cars and never had any damage to paint or wax.

What do you do if your windshield is dirty while you're driving? Living in VA, I would think your weather is similar to ours here in Indiana. I use mine all the time, especially in the winter. I think it is a safety hazard of sort to not even have it available to use.

I keep some Stoners and MF in my car if it gets dirty. I actually havent seen snow yet at all this winter. If it is snowing, then I dont drive my car. I havent put any in for about 2- 3 years. I took it out in the first place because I brought the car to the track and just never refilled it.
