I have been wanting to try Meguiars num 83 for awhile now.How is it with the PC?What lake country pads will start to mar with it(Orange,White, etc).Does it need to be finished up with another polish? Thanks and happy new year!

from other people that use M83 say that depending on the pad you use with it determines if it is a cutting polish or a finishing polish. I would believe a orange would cut through swirls/oxidation pretty well and a white or blue pad would finish it up really nicely.

Megs DACP was my first polish and works well with PC but needs ample time and prime pads to work best and dusts alot. I then moved to the SSR Twins, then XMT Twins, and now Mernzerna. Sorry, but I aint going back !!!

hey 02camss
I've used #83 followed by #80(speed glaze) both with w8006 megs. polishing pads with fantastic results! with both a makita and a pc. #80 has plenty of polishing oils in the product. It removes light swirls, oxidation, and some light defects. then follow with a lsp of your choice.I know everbody has there own system but thats just my two cents

83 is an awesome polish. It will take more time with PC to break down though. Use a small amount. Put 4, dime size dots at 12,3,6,9 oclock on the pad to start out with. This will get your pad primed. Then all you need is two dime sized dots per panel. Do not be afraid of speed six. You will need it just like 90% of any other polish used with the PC.
83 is the best bang for the buck in paint correction polishes.
Let us know.
