Google adwords

Hi folks, just wondering if anyone on here has used Google adwords or Facebook ads in the past. If so I would be interested to hear your experiences with on line advertising, what sort of return you had what kind of ad worked best etc. Or if you have had better luck with other forms of ads/marketing.
