I recently took some readings on my Challenger. I have polished it a few times since I bought it brand new in 2012, never compounded only a finish polish was ever needed. I have very limited experience as far as paint thickness. Please give your opinion on my readings. I am listing the minimum and the maximum reading I recorded. Thanks

I think you have a bit of room for some polishing, but I wouldn't compound it every year, or anything like that.

Here is my write-up on how much clear coat is removed, using a paint thickness gauge:

It works fine- maybe an iPhone user since it says he is using the mobile app?

Maybe just copy and paste the link into your browser.

Anyways, it shows that it removed about 18% of the clear coat.
Using M105 and a small orange pad, using mild pressure for several passes.

For a five year old well kept car, you are in good shape.
