I need to clean the seats on my Subaru Legacy GT while I have the Lexol kit I hear that the conditioner does nothing for the seats but add more dirt over time.. I'm at a lost here.. I was going to get the Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner and Conditioner however visiting the website was a turn off to me IMHO because so many products that I just got tired of trying to find what was what. I just want to know if I could be using something better then what I have now?

I like to clean with the lightest cleaner I can get away with and then use Ultima Interior Gaurd.

I use it on most everything in the interior, but have to go back over smooth glossy surfaces to remove streaks.

It leaves no gloss and a silky feel. It has no restorative qualities though and is more suited for interiors that are in good condition.

I think the new McKee's 37 Leather Gaurd UV50 may be a competitive product and will soon check it out.

Trusted member Bob (FUNX) usually recommends one if the Leather Master kits, but I can't remember which one.

I was looking at Leather Master the other day and never realized they had so many protectants.

I always liked Leather Masters which is available on AG. Recently I tried McKee's 37 leather shampoo 70/30 and UV50 and liked it. McKees's product seemed to clean better and leaves a leather smell. Leather Masters is milder and without a scent. I think it works well for new or well maintained seats.

I was told by lots of pple that most modern day cars have a leather coating already on the leather that is why I simply clean with Four Star Leather cleaner and done.

Optimum Leather Protectant was designed from the get go for coated leather. It includes a mild cleaner. Leaves a great mat finish that doesn't attract dirt. Also great for the vinyl parts so it makes doing the entire interior very easy.

Optimum Protectant Plus offers complete protection for interior leather, vinyl, plastic & rubber dressing. vinyl and rubber dressing, vinyl (http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-protectant-plus.html)
