Griots Garage 6" Polisher with 3" Backing Plate?

Hello,

I currently have a 6" GG DA polisher and its great. I also have a 3" GG DA Polisher however I find that the smaller 3" does not really have enough power sometimes & was thinking of buying this backing plate so I can use my 3" pads on my 6" polisher - Griots Garage 3 inch HD Backing Plate (http://www.autogeek.net/griots-3-inch-hd-backing-plate.html)

Has anybody used this before? Your opinion on it? Did not realize it was an option or I may not of even bought the 3" polisher.

I use it exclusively on my GG6. It's great. A significant improvement over any other 3'' backing plate I've ever used. It's manufactured and balanced specifically for use on the GG6. Very minimal vibration, extremely smooth, and it keeps the pads cool.

I also have a 3" BP that I use on my gg6 for tight spots and headlight restoration....it works great, just be cautious not to use too much speed with the samller pad cuz itll generate too much heat and destroy the pad
