I've been using the McCollough 1385. Even that made interior detailing MUCH more efficient, so the Vapor Chief should be even better! Was contemplating the VX5000, but in the end, the Vapor Chief has better specs and not as expensive.

Right on Mark! They look like they're top notch steamers. I also upgraded from a 1385 a few years back but went with the VX5000 because it was tried and true. Let us know your thoughts on it after you've test driven it a few times.

Have mine for a few weeks. You won't regret it. Caked on salt stains here in the NE don't stand a chance.

My 100 is a beast, I will warn anyone thinking about one get the continuous fill you will empty the tank quicker than you think. The boiler cap is under pressure not something worth playing around with.
