Used Mckees hydro blue and I've got to say I'm pretty impressed to say the least. I have the spray coating too, but when I washed my car the other day, there was a 10% chance of rain overnight and I didn't know how long the coating had to sit before getting wet so I used hydro blue instead and the gloss is pretty nice. Anyone have an idea on how long it lasts? Here's a shot, no editing at all, photo was taken with iPhone 7 plus.

I just tried it myself, and then ordered a gallon if it can hang 6 weeks or more its a winner.

I wonder why long the paint coating spray would last in northeast climate.

I have it on mine and my brothers wheels. Going to see how it holds up the next few weeks and washes.

I have had it on my daily driver Jeep now for 3 months, I rarely wash it and neglect it. And it beads and sheets water like no tomorrow.

It's a black/grey metallic and sits outside in the hot south Florida sun all day.

Great stuff! I'm going to apply it to my roof top cargo box this weekend.

I really like this product too! My brothers DD (05 Chevy Impala SS) is serving as my first test of Hydro Blue. He garages his car at home but it's parked outside weekdays (downtown). Two weeks ago I worked on his car and applied HB. It was so easy its feels like cheating. Truly instant results. I've seen videos, but seeing it in real life was pretty amazing. Just last night he told me that rain water "just flew" off the car once he hit around 30-35 mph. Grinning, he said he doesn't need to use the wipers much and Mother Nature is his carwash. Great stuff for sure!

Yeah I love it so far. It just showered real quick. Took some pics and then through a cup of water on the hood where it was all beaded up and everything slid right off I wish it would go more then two days without a quick shower here on the east coast of mass but everyday this month it shows clear weather with a 10% risk of quick shower and sure enough it showers for 5 mins. I want to use the McKee spray coating and then put the hydro blue over it but Mother Nature hates me.

That's exactly what I want to do on my RX350, next sale I'm ordering it up. That's a great shot by the way!!:xyxthumbs:

Has anyone used a spritz of Hydro Blue on a VERY wet surface as a drying aid?

This past Sunday I used hydro blue after my wash. Ii is over BF spray sealant. Figure they are both Si02 based. Results were great. No issues.

Seems like a more economical way to use it. Same with Meguiars Ceramic Wax....it works best on a very wet surface as a drying aid.

As a drying aid I would think NO. It needs the pressure of a strong jet of water to activate.
