Hi guys,
I had been trying to get a very old gasoline stain off of my stator cover. (https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/motorcycle-care/108957-gasoline-stain-aluminum-engine-cover.html) It turns out, the stain is in the clear coat. I attempted to use my DA to clean them following the directions of someone who did the same with their aluminum wheels.

In doing so, the clear coat started to come off, and I'll be stripping the rest of it this weekend. My question comes after I polish the aluminum..

That clear coat has to go!

What do you recommend to seal a bare polished aluminum part?

Anyone who knows me, knows that I believe Collinite 845 (http://www.autogeek.net/collinite-insulator-wax-845.html) is made from the fruit of the awesome tree. Or possibly some proprietary chemical formula. I don't know, they no longer accept my calls. (Stupid restraining order!)

I'm also a huge fan of anything Wolfgang (including Mozart, and Eddie Van Halen's son).

So, does anyone have experience with either Collinite Metal Wax 850 (http://www.autogeek.net/collinite-metal-wax.html), or Wolfgang MetalWerk Concours Metal Sealant (http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-metal-sealant.html) that they can share?
Which would you recommend?

As always, I thank you in advance.

Do you use the Pinnacle Cleansing Polish? Or another method to prep?
