I've got a job coming up this Sunday detailing a semi truck for a 1 step correction and interior detail. Correction is maybe not the best word to use here as the company mainly wants the shine brought back. Not looking to take out all the swirls.

I've never done semi and was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice?

I'm adding a taller ladder and I will be working in the sun some of the time.

I'm undecided on some products. I've used griots finishing sealant in the sun before but I'm really wanting to try the mckees 360 I just ordered but I don't know what to expect of the paint on a semi or how nice it will play in the sun.

If you've already ordered 360 just use that. Most likely the paint is SS so don't worry if you see some color on your pads. I'd also recommend using larger pads if you have them because of all the surface area to cover. The hoods usually tilt almost 90 degrees open which will let you polish a lot easier.

5.5 pads on a g15 is what I will be using. I have a hf polisher with 6" pads but I imagine it would be slower.

I'm hoping the 360 will arrive in time. I've got hd speed and finishing sealant if it doesnt. It's a single cap without the top air shield and it's white. I will check for the hood thanks!

HD Speed is what I would personally use and it's another good option for you to use. I am a Foreman for a very large trucking company and I can tell you these trucks have a lot of square footage, so I'm hoping you're charging accordingly. Good luck and post some pics when you can.

Have plenty of pads on hand. You would be amazed at what the AIO pulls out of the paint.

So I finally did the truck today. Last week nobody left power or water out so it was pushed back a week.

2012 international. I've never done a semi before but this might have been my last lol. Ideally a platform or something that woukd make the roof and top of the hood easier to get to. It was absolutely impossible to get the roof with my equipment.

The goal here was to polish it and clean up the inside. Being around a industrial setting you can imagine how much grime and crud it can collect.

I didn't get many pics the 95 degrees in the direct sun for 7 hrs I wanted to get done asap.
