I just bought a Harley TriGlide with more chrome than I know what to do with. I'm asking for recommendations for chrome care products. Also do I use something like 303 protectant on the black plastic and lines? Any other advice would be appreciated.
And I know we all like pictures so...

I'm really happy with Flitz (http://www.autogeek.net/flmepopare5o.html) for the chrome and aluminum on my '88 Magna and '72 Chevelle.

I've been using 303 on my cables, under the hood of my cars, etc., but am looking at trying out Woflgang Exterior Trim Sealant (http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-trim-sealant.html).

P.S. Cool trike!

I'm a big fan of the McKee's products: McKees RV Liquid Chrome Metal Polish (http://www.autogeek.net/best-rv-metal-polish.html)

I keep the chrome on my two Harley's looking good with simple washings. Only occasionally will I use a mild polish (like once every year or two) and then only if the chrome is looking a little dingy. Chrome really doesn't require much maintenance other than keeping it clean. I've seen an awful lot of damaged chrome from people getting to aggressive with polishing and/or polishing too often.

To me the key is keeping it clean with mild washings and do everything you can to minimize scratches because once they're there, they're there for good. It's not like paint. Once chrome is scratched, those scratches are there for life... You can't polish them away.

This is an excellent product, it shines and protects chrome w/o any abrasives.

Mothers Chrome Polish is an easy-to-use liquid metal polish that cleans & brightens chrome wheels and rims. Mothers Chrome Polish is gentle on shiny (http://www.autogeek.net/motchrompol.html)

My scoot has a little bit of chrome on it :props:

I asked my friend who owns 2 Harleys this very same question just a few days ago. I wanted to know what do bikers use for the chrome on their bikes?

He didn't hesitate to reach for his bottle of "Protect All"
He pretty much said this is the stuff everyone uses. They sell it at the Harley dealer and everyone trusts it because Harley recommends it.

@Custmsprty. Is that true?

I've been using the Mother's product and the prior generation snce purchasing my bike back in 1996. For themoney it's a great product. it adds shine and protetction and is easy to apply. My bike is majorly chromed, the key is keeping it protected so it doesn't get any pitting etc. The saying an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure is so true with chrome.

S100 Cycle Cleaner is the only product I use to wash mine with, it's awesome.

@Custmsprty. Are you familiar with it though? Is it really popular among Harley Davidson owners?

I've never heard of protect all or used it.

What the heck? My friend made it sound like they darn near shove it down your throat at the Harley dealer... I think he said Harley endorses the product like they're in bed together.

I looked it up, and while there is some talk linking it to the subject, I can't blame you for not knowing about it..
