For years I have been disappointed with my results in areas requiring a 3" pad especially at the compound stage. I was using a GG6 converted for 3" use. Well the GG died a spark fest death recently and I ordered up a LHR75. Holy Moly the results were night and day different and quite stunning. I have always felt that if the machine, polish and pad combo gets the job done at the compunding stage the rest is a walk in the park. Kudos Rupes!!!

I really like my LHR75 as well.

Did you contact Griot's about getting the GG6 replaced?? Lifetime warranty...

It's my favorite tool.

I like it so much that I polished my whole car with a 4" pad. LOL

No I didn't contact GG. I found their machines and products to be subpar years ago and never went back. I am very happy with Rupes, Flex, Menzerna, Sonax and Carpro. No need to go backwards.

It's remarkable how much easier that line of tools has made my life.

My partner and I did a black RT10 Viper today, and it was a cakewalk. Needless to say, the Mini put in a lot of work today.

My partner had to use his PC 7424xp with 3" pads when he wasn't using the LHR21E. His next investment is going to be the mini!

You might want to think about having Griot's replace the polisher, selling the new polisher, and using the proceeds for pads/products. You paid for the warranty when you bought the polisher, might as well get your money back.
