i see the defelsko is 250 vs 700 for the made in usa defelsko.

i wanted one of these tools for personal use. love to hear ur feedback advise

If you're in this for the long run and a professional, then get the American made Defelsko.

There's a saying, and probably most of us have learned that the saying is true the hard way, the saying goes like this,

You get what you pay for


We sell them both and I don't have a dog in this fight so it doesn't matter to me which one you get.



I called Defelsko when I wrote my article below and talked to one of their Techs about their tools and the knock-offs and it was very enlightening. I have the Highline Meter II and the Defelsko right here by my side. I use the Defelsko and I show them both in my classes and let each person make up their own mind.

They both work but the quality and performance of the Defelsko in any work environment is better than the knock-off.

The bottom of the gauge houses the ruby tipped probe. This probe is rounded, not sharp so it won't damage surfaces.

thanks Mike I will have a look of your review shortly. that should help. I have ready may use the Highline 2 with great results but the problem with chinese products for how long are they going to last. I am not a pro but I do alot of my own paint work and alot of wetsanding since I dont have a booth.
