I have a Meguiars G110v2 DA polisher, but am new to detailing using a DA polisher. Goal is to do some removal of some water spot etching on one of my daily drivers, and to do some needed compounding, polishing, etc. in general on both vehicles. Also need to remove some moderate scratches. From what I've read on the site, I think I have all the compounding, polishes, etc that I need,

I have some of the Soft Buff 2.0 pads (Burgundy, Yellow, and Black) 7 inch pads already. Looking for advice on which backing plate and pads to use on the G110v2 in the 3-4 inch area for the smaller areas of the cars.

While there is a tremendous amount of information on the Autogeek site, I may be guilty of over analyzing the options...

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

It shows the Porter Cable but the Megs unit is the same type of tool with probably a little more power.
