I had quoted this job a while back but our schedules never lined up. Finally he was able to leave the truck for it's make over. Outside in the sun the normal swirls etc were present. What I couldn't see was the horrible DA marks all over the passenger side from a repaint.

This turned into a bigger job than anticipated but I was able to knock it out by buckling down and having at it.

Wheels/tires- Mckees foaming wheel cleaner gel, LATA, hyper dressing and Mckees Gloss Tire Gel

Paint Wash- IGL ecoclean wash, Mckees extreme Iron remover, nanoskin medium grade prep sponge

Here's where having a rotary polisher and knowing how to use it comes in handy.

Initial Cut- Makita rotary, LC purple foamed wool pad, Fast correcting cream. After making my cutting passes I left the fast correcting cream residue on the paint for the next follow up step. This allow me to save some time and get the paint refined down for polishing.

2nd pass- BOSS G21, BOSS microfiber cutting pad, fast correcting cream.

3rd pass- BOSS G21, Rupes yellow pad, m205. I could of stopped here but there was still a little bit of hazing that I just couldn't leave.

4th pass- BOSS G21, black LC pro thin pad, m205

LSP- Mckees high def paint sealant

Thanks to some time saving tricks I was able to knock this out relatively quick with a great result.

Here's a before video showing true condition under the lights.

Love seeing the transformation. I finally got around to doing mine and understand what a job these big trucks are.

Big time save and beautiful correction on that black paint, Justin! I like the interesting idea of not wiping down after your initial passes with the FCC and wool and then going to MF cutting pads and the same product.

Thanks Paul. I saw Robert DiTerlizzi do that before and it makes sense. All I'm doing is refining the rotary holograms. After the microfiber cutting pad I'm left with a even day haze that's ready for polishing

based on how long it took me, and guessing he is a bit faster as well, I'd guess 18 hours
