IMO: Sure there is.
It'd be the same benefit as derived
from waxing the vehicle's body panels,
and any other components, that may
also be Clear-coated.

I would look into a coating (Car Pro Dlux) rather than wax for your wheels. Another good option that will give you six months of protection is Blackfire Metal Sealant.
