I finally got around to detailing 2 WWII German pistols that have been in my family for quite some time. The one is a Mauser and the other an FN. I am quite proud of the fact that I was able to research online and find a site that explained how to field strip them. I want to keep them in pristine condition. Here are some pics of the final product. Look closely on both and you'll see the swastika on each one. Both are numbers matching, have both magazines and the original leather belt holster.

That is awesome man I love old war memorabilia. What did you use on the old leather?

I used some old Zaino cleaner and conditioner on it. The FN holster actually had mold on it, which cleaned right up.

Now that's cool! Have you ever fired them? Talking to old vets, they said the Masuser was a sweet gun, some brought them home after the war...Thanks for sharing....

Maybe you should have used Klasse AIO instead of Zaino being its German...:joking::D

Sparkie..I haven't fired them yet although I have rounds for them. I considered carrying the Mauser instead of my S&W while off duty, but I have been thoroughly trained on the S&W and am very confident in handling it. I'd have to practice clearing blockages, etc if I were to carry something else. Other than being big, my 40 cal is a great weapon.
