Hello all,

I had a customer bring me her jeep wrangler for a 1 step polish after I showed her the true condition of her paint with my spot light. This jeep is typically washed at a car wash or hand washed with dawn dish soap! Yikes!!!

I started by washing it with CG Citrus and gloss using the double bucket method. I then clayed with with the mothers speed clay 2.0, which is a lot better than I thought and easy to do, followed by dodo juice iron remover.

After she was all cleaned up I brought her in for closer inspection and taped her all up. I did a quick test spot with a PC and a LC White pad. The results were better than expected. With the plan in place, I woke up the following morning and went to work. I went more aggressive and completed the job with a GG BOSS G15 with an orange pad and a PC switched to a 3 inch backing plate and LC orange pad for the tight areas. After everything was completed I gave her a final wipe down with meguiars 156 to smooth everything out.

The car was picked up when the sun was setting so I could not get any sun shots [emoji25] .

Off to the fun pics! Enjoy! Any advice or recommendations are welcome!

Nice job. I absolutely love HD Speed and have had amazing results with it. The other thing I love about it is there's no need to tape up unless it is matte vinyl that you don't want to shine. It definitely speeds the process with amazing results.

Thank you.

I agree! I taped up because I thought it was going to need to be compounded, but boy was I wrong! 2nd cat is use it on and always amazing results.

Great. Just showed my wife this (Wrangler owner).

Now I've got a Jeep detail to do. Lol!!

Seriously, though. Nice work my man. (Did you use your PC? How did it work?)

Lol!! They are fun cars to work on, no crazy curves, but a lot of tiny spaces to squeeze into.

I used the PC with a 5.5 inch LC WHITE Pad for the 50/50 shot and it did great. It only took 4 slow passes and it removed a 85% of the defects.

Does your wife have a hard top? I had no idea what to protect it with so I sprayed it with Chemical guys V07 and didn't look like it did much but it was clean! Lol

I was referring to your thread about the PC kinda crapping out on you in the PC section. It did good??

I actually use 845 on the wife's hard top. The soft top will be on this week sometime. 303 on that.

Ohhh, sorry slow moment, it worked great! It did not bog down or anything. Must have been the pad I was using could have been warped or something .

And good to know!! Now I know for next time. Thanks!!

And thanks for turning me on to this, Mark.

For me, HDS is it. Period. It is all I ever need, and works better than I ever dreamed for my needs. I know there will always be other opinions, claims of better products, detractors, etc. But like Mike P says, "Find something you like........."

Well I like this. HD Speed is my go-to.

This is a perfect example of the capability of an AIO. There are a ton of scratches left over after SPEED.....BUT....the paint clarity was noticeably improved. Nice job.

Are those LC orange pads comparable to the cut as the B&S ones? im going to use this this weekend on a vehicle so wasn't sure if I should go white or orange. I know a text spot will be the best test.

Thank you everyone!

And I am not sure if these pads are comparable because I have never used B&S pads, but I'm sure they will do great. I started off with white for a test spot and finished with orange. Orange gave me results quicker than the white ones.
