Have some friends getting married soon and his fiancé picked up this A5 about 4 months ago. Seen it a few times and that paint looked like it has 170k miles! As a wedding present I said I'd do a quick polish on her car. My plan was a simple one step, wash decor and HD speed with some kind of pad. Should have gotten some better before pictures but it was misting the entire day. I think you'll get the idea.

Before

I seriously LOVE Adams wheel cleaner!! Its more gel like and sticks a lot longer than the other wheel cleaners.

Just because its fun to do, and the neighbors always walk by with their mouths open.

Look at this!!! All 170k miles in all its glory!!!

Now my original plan was to just use HD speed, but the hood and trunk I couldn't just leave alone. So broke out the LC microfiber cut thin pads with Menzerna 400 and hit it followed by HD speed.

Too many rock chips to cover

Now I've use HD speed before with green heavy polish pads, white pads and orange. When I did the Menzerna 400 cut with the LC microfiber cutting pad I was AMAZED at the way it finished down!! Zero haze like previous microfiber cutting pads, so I decided to try using the LC MF pads with HD speed...BLOWN AWAY!! I let the pictures do the rest.

awesome turn around, can you tell me abit more about your foam set up? I see that you're using a sunjoe and was wondering if you have any comparison to the other popular brands or just how you like it. Ive been considering purchasing a sunjoe/karcher/AR/ or generac pressure washer with an MTM foam gun.

One again, awesome detail!

No comparison as it's my first one. I didn't need the power of a gasser and so far love it! I'm using CG honeydew soap with this foam lance.

Is this using the LC heavy cut MF or the polishing MF?
I have GG boss MF that I like. But grabbing some menzerna 400 and stepping up my pads too. You got amazing results and I will pursue the product, tool, and technique to detail to this level.

Thank you

Nice job kid, My car has rock chips like that and its only a 2014. I cringe every time I look at the bumper and front of the hood. My paint is definitely defective. Ive seen the exact same model and color with no rock chips at all.

Buyer beware I didnt see it when I bought it and at the time I didnt even know to look. I wish I could sue the company because there is no way this paint will last 10 years. Even the sides and roof has chips. Under a spotlight its hideous I dont know what I can do? Definitely feel I got cheated.

I had the harbor frieght pressure washer with the autogeek hp foam cannon. I worked great but the pressure switch broke and it wouldn't stop cycling. I upgraded to the karcher k5 and its unbelievable im glad I bought it. It has about the same pressure as what you find at the coin op's. The foam gun is the same but it always worked great. ill try to post a pic i took recently. buy a good one you wont regret it. karcher invented pressure washers and it has the best warranty
