Had a customer come in last weekend with a pretty neglected 09 VW CC, was not a fan of the color as I was doing my walk around! Just kind of flat and boring. Products used were Menzerna 400 with a microfiber cutting pad, and then Menzerna SF3800 with a white pad topped with Wolfgang 3.0. It was my first time using the Menzerna 400 and was surprised how nicely it finished out where as Meg 105 usually left some hazing when using a MF cut pad. Just a simple 2 stage cut as the paint reacted quite well to those two products, any recommendations are always welcome!

Finally got my hands on a Sun Joe SPX 3000 with a Dusichin SFL-001 foam gun, ordered both off amazon for $156 shipped. NOT TOO SHABBY! Need a better foam product as all I had was CG(I know I know) Honey Dew foam soap.

Finish with just the cut

Overall I was happy with the turn out, customer loved it! There was just little things I couldn't get to correct down. I think it stems from my machine being the Torq 10FX not having enough power on hard clear coats, past jobs have gone well but this one left me wanting more power. Flex is just sitting in my cart waiting for the right sale.

These gave me more headache than any other trim, I got it better just can't find the picture.

VW pillars can be tough. I've gone to using the softest pad I have with something like Megs 205 or HD polish. Can usually get them pretty good.

Its not the torq 10fx its the 22D model. How much more power can I expect from the Flex 3401?

The 3401 is not going to dramatically out cut the 21mm Torq. However, the forced rotation will allow you to use more pressure and power through the detail without having to worry about pad stall. It's great!

Great work - thank you for sharing.

I've had great success using Menzerna SF4000 or Carpro Essence on a black LC hybrid pad - the easier wipe off with Essence actually makes it a little better IMO.

As for the harder VW clear coats, FG400 is great for a 1 step where you need some cut and obviously (as you saw) a pretty decent finish but for all out correction I often have to reach for SHC300 and a wool pad.

With your machine shrinking down you working size, and slowing down your arm speed will help a bit too.

Nothing wrong with CG soap. Stop the hating. And besides honey dew can foam like crazy.

All I ever owned was VWs and can get great correction even using my PC. I own a Rupes polisher now but I find using micro fiber cuts the best on these paint jobs. Finish with foam.

This is true. It's NOT the soap, it's the pressure washer that's the issue; it's not powerful enough.

I used it on my car last night and realized I hadn't added enough soap. Much better with more product.
