When it comes to new chrome, or even old chrome in great shape, first you want something that will not scratch. Most "hard" waxes will leave a layer of protection over chrome. Something like the P21S Concours Carnauba Wax. The key to using this on chrome is to first clean the chrome really well and the apply and work over the surface a layer of this wax and let it dry before wiping it off.

I think the S100 Wax is a similar product.
S100 Carnauba Paste Wax (http://www.autogeek.net/s1capawax.html)
I'd also recommend the Chrome & Alunminum Paste by SONAX - it cleans, polishes and leaves behind protection.

Also, these finger pockets come in handing for applying metal polishes...
Flex Foam Finger Pockets (http://www.autogeek.net/flex-foam-finger-pockets.html)
And be sure to have plenty of microfiber towels for the wipe-off...
:)
Thank you, mike. I will give the s100 a try.
