I asked mike phillips the other day in his jescar polish review thread but I doubt he even saw it. My question is, Will using super finish 3800 or another ultrafine polish after the jescar microfinish polish add anything or would it be a waste of time. Obviously we are talking that 1% difference here with the ulrafine polishes so keep that in mind.

I'm not talking about weather anyone thinks its a waste of time or whatever. I'm talking about If you are trying to get the best possible show car finish will the SF 3800 still add something or does this jescar finishing polish eliminate the need for ultrafine polishes?

I haven't tried Jescar yet (plan to very soon) but both it & Menz SF3800 are finishing polishes. I can't see any advantage in following either one with the other.

No SF3500 is Menzerna's finishing polish. SF3800 is their ultra fine finishing polish. It's for jeweling the paint to get that little bit extra. On the menzerna scale the 3500 is a 9 out of 10 on the finish. The 3800 is a 10 out of 10

Thats what i meant about results by eye. some people might not notice the difference. We are talking about that extra 1% of shine. We are auto geeks here dont forget

Purely speculating- but I would think the Jescar micro-finishing might have more in common with the Menz 3500 than the 3800. I'm thinking of the jescar being similar to Megs 105/205. Thus, yes, the Menz 3800 might provide that "extra 1%". But I wonder if one might "coax" that same extra 1% out of the Jescar by varying buffer speed/pressure/time or pad choice? I've used Menz 3500 and it doesn't leave me "wanting more". But I hear you regarding that extra 1%. Good question.

Give 3800 a try with CarPro Gloss Pads and see if it makes a difference. When going for that last 1% the pads matter all most as much as the polish.
