Forum Hacked

Somebody is hacking this forum with these movies etc.



They were not technically hacking the forum but spamming the forum.






Now I don't see them anymore. Did anyone else see that?




This was early Sunday morning, I get e-mails anytime someone "reports" a thread. I logged in, changed the status of the spammers to "Spammers" and moved their threads to the Moderators forum, (a forum group out of the public sight).


That's kind of the norm for anyone that does moderating on this forum.


I removed 4 new accounts sitting in the "User waiting email verification" queue just now after running their IP address through Google.

Mike, just out of curiosity did you folks figure out what was wrong with some members avatars? I know one was changed and unable to be changed back by the member.

This issue, whatever it is, is out of my area of expertise for whatever is taking place with the coding for the forum. This is where you need a vB mechanic.


I'll be checking with the Admin today and then will update Paul's thread.
