Hey All, haven't posted in a long time so figured I'd make a return.
I purchased a 2016 Scion FRS with 31 miles on the clock from a dealership last November. Given 2017 stock was coming in I got a fairly decent deal on it, but that also meant the car was sitting on the lot a long time before I took ownership.
In the dealer the car looked decent under HID lighting, but figured they used some fillers and other products to hide their damage...and boy was I right.
After a couple washes and Citrus Wash N Gloss, their true work came out and showed horrible mico-marred buffer trails, bird acid etchings on the roof, and overall just abuse.
Finally got up off my butt, dusted off the good ole Makita and went to work.
Products used:
IronX
CG Citrus Wash N Gloss
Makita 9227c
M205 w/HDO Orange
PO85RD w/HDO Black
GTechniq C1
GTechniq C2v3
Took IronX to the paint and followed up with Citrus Wash N Gloss. Not shocking, but there was a ton of fallout on this car:

Tried to best to capture the damage. While it doesnt look too too bad under this photo, it was pretty extensive and in the sunlight hood and door panels were halograms galore. My worklights couldn't even pick up the marring that well.

Decided to try and take the least aggressive approach, so I pulled out a HDO orange pad with M205 to see what we could do. To my surprise, results were promising. I'm use to BMW paint so I'm happy this approach worked well. Isn't 100% correction, probably more 90-95%, but it's enough for the time I had allocated to work on the car.

Decided to follow up M205 with PO85RD with an HDO Black pad, and I gotta say I'm pretty happy with the extra time spent jeweling the paint

After correction, decided to go with GTechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer and top it with C2v3 spray. Given this will be my DD this summer and see abuse from AutoX competition, some extra protection never hurts. Debating topping it with DodoJuice Hard Candy and Rainforest rub. But don't know if that's considered overkill. Thoughts?

Took it to work yesterday and was able to get a full sunlight shot with just my iPhone. The depth is pretty incredible. Sure, car only has 1500 miles on it currently but looks alot better than showroom condition.
