KING RANCHED!!!

On Tuesdays I normally do a lot of wash and vacs for a local construction company, but w/ the market sucking right now they had to cut back and I got cut. Oh well, I was able to pick up another Tuesday gig today. I know a lot of you only want to do full correction details, but I do what pays the bills. Of course I would like higher end stuff, but money is money right now. Hopefully I’ll pick up some more details in the future. I’ve only been full time for 6 months now. The company I worked for today puts in underground utilities for large developments. They have a lot of trucks that need cleaned once a week. I convinced them to let me do an express detail job on the three owners trucks today and wash a few others.

The first one is 2007 Black 250 King Ranch:

Process: Wash w/ NXT via foam gun
Tires w/ purple power
Rims w/ meg wheel brite
Polish w/ 106 mixed w/ DG 501 via PC (thanks AL53)
Waxed w/ magic 845
Tires dressed w/ meg hyper dressing w/ spray gun and air
Compressor

The next two were a 2006 White 150 King Ranch and a 2005 White 250 King Ranch: (same process for both)

Process: Wash w/ NXT via foam gun
Tires w/ purple power
Rims w/ meg wheel brite
Polished w/ Opt. Poli Seal via PC
Sealed w/ Opti Seal via PC
Tires dressed w/ meg hyper dressing w/ spray gun and air
Compressor

I know it’s not as flashing as some of you guys work, but I thought it was pretty cool doing 3 King Ranches in one day. I just got my flex, so hopefully I can get into some more correction jobs.

All look awesome, King Ranch is sweet..
Dang, you can mix #601 and #501? Can you explaned that a little more? Or you put down #601 and work the #501 on top?
Is it DG #601 or Menz#106?

It's Menzerna 106 Sparkie. IIRC, it's a 75% 106 to 25% 501 mix.

Got it! Thanks! I need to try that...
I've been using 25% Menz Power Gloss and 75% #501.

Sparkie..thats the ratio I use....25% menz and 75% 501...its great for lite marring and swirls...you get the burnishing of menz and the cleaning and protection of 501..

501 has micro abrasives already as I was told...and a chemical cleaner/abrasive too...so the added menz just brings the mechanical abrasive level up a notch..

if you dilute the 501 to much you loose the chemical cleaning it does..since a polish like menz does not deep clean paint it just burnishes the surface...

Oops, looks like I had the ratios backwards. Thanks for the clarification AL.

You made those look outstanding. I've got a K-R next week but he wants it done for the leather mainly so I've got some DG#221 Leather Conditioner on the way.
