Ok so I did the maguires no.7 polish rub down. I first left it on for 2 hours then whipped down and reapplied. I ended up leaving polish on car for 2 days. When I wiped it off I used a clean dry terry cloth and now I have one section that is not right. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated ATTACH]56170[/ATTACH]561715617256173

Hi, welcome to AGO.

First off, it's very difficult to see your photo's. You can upload your photo's to the free / unlimited web gallery and repost the pics.

The #7 rubdown is typically to gorge old dried out paint with the oils found in #7 (a non abrasive polish). Typically done when single stage paint is neglected and very oxidized. If the paint wasn't in bad shape to begin with, it probably didn't require it.

Do you mean the #7 or another polish?

It's quite possible after two days it has become dry. Just wiping with a terry cloth will be difficult and or possibly not get it all off (by hand).
You could try a rinsless or waterless wash to wipe off any excess polish and polishing oils.

That is where I would start before trying anything more aggressive.

Can you get better pics? They are not very telling of your problem.

Keep in mind:
Correcting/Buffing SS Metallic
changes the flake and depth; i.e.:
creation of "the tiger stripes fx"
is very likely---Not pretty.

Yes no. 7. The paint was def in need of something! I did a walk around inspection and didn't notice any thin spots. It all looked even. I did notice that it must have been repainted because it's had some body work to same side that I'm having the issue. I will re-download better pics in just a sec. Thx guys!
