hello.. can someone explain how this is different compared to a regular wet sand paper? can this attach right onto my PC with its backing plate? or do i have to buy the soft interface pad?

It's not really different, it's just abrasives attached to a thin piece of foam instead of wet/dry paper. It may help hold a little lubricant.

Yes you could attach them directly to a backing plate, but it would be better to use them with an interface pad for automotive use. The foam interface will give you more surface contact even on slightly curved panels.

thank you for that.. and what speed on the PC would you use for this 3000 sanding pad?
