Paint protection options

Hey guys, this is my first post so don't be hard on me!
I need an advice regarding paint protection for my newly purchased car (2006 Ford Mustang gt). I haven't done much detailing to the cars I owned before, so I'm overwhelmed by available options. The car will be garage kept and weekend driven, but I will take it on road trips, so I'm concerned about possible damage to the paint caused by pieces of sand, rocks, gravel, etc.
So, right now I'm considering the following options:
1. Old school liquid glass
2. More advanced products like CQuartz
3. High end coating like CQuartz finest, Ceramic pro 9h etc. These cost some very serious money, and I'm wondering if it's really gonna protect the car from scratches caused by rocks etc, or these are just overpriced alternatives to traditional pain seals?

Only a PPF film will protect a vehicle from scratches, paint chips, rocks etc.

•Yes...Liquid Glass (LG) is some
serious old-school Sealant.
-I believe the first time I used
it was ca.1970.

(And...It was the practice at-the-time
to see how many layers of LG a person
could pile on the paint.)


•Now...If I remember correctly:
-A rogue Bull Elephant would bounce off
a vehicle wearing 25, or more, layers of
Liquid Glass...with the vehicle's paint
incurring little, to no damage.

-Coatings will not do the trick either.


•PPF, as suggested below,
is the way to go. :)

Yup, if you're concerned about abrasive particles hurting the paint while driving, the ONLY thing that will protect it is paint protection film.

For weekend cars that are garage kept, I'm personally a fan of going old school and using a high quality carnauba paste wax. There are a lot of great one's available for every budget.

I'm with ekennett, if it's a garage queen don't ruin the look of beautifully polished paint with a film. It's not a priceless jewel, just enjoy polishing and waxing to make it look great, then just enjoy driving it.
