View Full Version : Rental Car "Detailing"

On Monday I start a new job as a detailer for a local branch of a major car rental company. Based on the interview I had, it seems it's a tunnel wash and vacuum type deal. Hopefully I can find better ways of doing things in less time. They want the customer to feel like they are in a new car each time. Should be a nice challenge as they "detail" about 60 cars a day.

This rental company they lease their vehicles or buy and resale? Back in the days when I worked for ERAC I would detail the resale vehicles. ERAC would have the cars tinted and have after market wheels. Some were pretty dope too.

Talk about poor detailing. Wash, squeegee the horizontal surfaces, vacuum and clean the glass. They didn't even wipe down any interior surfaces. I couldn't stand it so I left.
