In the process of pulling together my order and plan to use/follow the Rupes system. After the compounding/polishing step---what do you use to top off the Rupes system other than just the P808 sealant? Checked the store and the P808 is all that the Rupes has for a LSP. Am I missing something?

That is all Rupes offers in terms of protection.

I use 808 (which I absolutely love), Opti-Seal, or Duragloss 111.

Thanks for quick reply!

Toying with idea of having HD poxy on hand. Will that work?

Right now I plan to start out with:

1. Complete Rupes system
2. HD speed and poxy
3. Optimum system

With these 3 systems---I should have somewhat a wide range of options to work with.
Doable?

I believe it will. I've never used it.

I have the Rupes system. The Megs Ultimate, and M100/M205/M21. Also, Menzerna FG400/PF2500/SF4000 with Duragloss 101, and 111.

Those are all the systems I currently have.

Sounds like you have some good options!

Toss up between the Rupes and Megs. I work a LOT faster with the Rupes though.

How about adding Collinite 845 into the mix for those that would prefer a more traditional "wax" job? It might end up being the best "beader" of your bunch. And by carnauba (or any other) standards, 845 longevity is rock solid.

Hummm, Collinite?
A good suggestion! I'll add that to list!

Rupes = Sealant
Poxy = Wax/sealant
Optimum = Sealant and coatings
Collinite = Wax

Thanks fellas!
That'll be about as good as it gets for a start!

Just to note...

I have the pictures processed and ready to go from the 1955 Chevy Nomad and the 1974 Capri Perana that we used for training cars at the February 2017 Comp Ready Detailing Class and we used RUPES P808 for the LSP on these two cars.

Jeepers man! I forgotten that!!! I was so into using the Rupes 15 Mk II polisher kind of forgotten to come up for air.

As I mentioned in another post---Wished I had taken better notes and photos of each process used!
There was so much information that my head hurts and the weekend ended way to soon!

At least the Rupes system will be my foundation. As you've mentioned elsewhere, master one system well and rest will follow over
time.

Thanks so much for the great experience!!

Tom
