So i will be picking up my Tailgate from the bodyshop.
Backed into the fence and had it repainted.

I kknow i am not suppose to coat the Paint for at least 30 days.
But i'd like to aleast perform a paint correction to remove the swirls and what not.

Can i use any Compound / Polish to do that? Or I'd still need to wait 30 days before i can compound the paint?

You can cut and buff fresh paint, body shops do it all the time.

There are also safe AIOs that can used but I'd talk to the shop first to see what they recommend. My painter gave me the rest of the bottle of AIO that he used as a finishing step on my paint.

Yeah, just use something labeled as "body shop safe."

New paint... Why would you expect to have any "swirls and what not" that would require paint correction?

Unless they're doing any sanding and/or polishing (and a poor job of it at that) your new paint "as sprayed" should be as swirl free as it's ever going to be.

My bigger concerns would be color and texture match, although being a tailgate a little mismatch of either would not be very obvious.

EvolutionDetail - I had the same scenario a few months ago. I had someone do a budget respray on certain panels so in addition to the hazing from their buffer I had some orange peel. I wanted to do some correction but also wanted protection. Used M100 with denim pads, M205 to clean it up and M305 to protect. The M305 is a glaze with protection and is body shop safe. It doesn't have that sealant/wax feel but it does protect the paint and will bead water.

There are swirls and crap all over the tailgate.
Just took it home, yesterday i told them there were some spot need work, they "BUFFED" it and made it go away.
But still 2 imperfection there, but whatever

i have M105/205/101
Menz FG400
Sonax Perfect Finish

I wouldn't say hack job....
I took my tailgate, tailgate handle and 2 side bumper piece to be painted.
$435 with tax.

I stripped all the plastics / emblem to make it easy for them to paint too.
Literally a bare tailgate
And at the top where the plastic cap goes over, there is a deep paint scratch that they somehow took off, no paint down to metal.
Although it will get covered by the cap, but still aint pretty
