paint spot fade? Help

I have this slight fade on the trim between the front and rear door. Is this oxidation? What product can I use to get this spot back to black.

Hyper polish is supposed to work really good on plastics. I can really see the picture very well on my iPad. It looks almost like the plastic is worn off on the edge. That's not a spot where you put your fingers to close the door is it?
