I use the Collinite 845 and love the effect on my black truck. I was just wondering if the Collinite 915 would offer better result. Anyone used both and have an opinion?

In my years of using #476, 915 and 845 I've found that #915 looks stunning on dark colored vehicles, plus it's a paste and from my experience a paste lasts longer. FWIW I wouldn't sleep on #476 either, many believe it lasts the longest of the 3 and 2 winters ago it got me through without a problem.

You can't go wrong with any of them. I have all 3 and it depends on the season with me 476s in Winter. 845 and 915 Summer. If time is a factor I use 845. If not then 915.

845 for ease of application. From there, most say 915 is the next easiest to apply and has the best look. I disagree. I find 476 much easier to apply than 915. I now use 915 only as a second coat to 845 and 476. Your results may be different, but this is my 'clinical evaluation'. All of them are great products and very cost effective. Just apply as thin as possible.

If you already have #845 and #915:
Why not use both of them, [in a variety
of applications (test spots)], to see what
best suits your fancy?

Better result how? Last longer? Better protection? More wet look?

I have both 845 and 476 and use them frequently. They are awesome. 476 tends to last longer in my experience, but they both have a great look. The 915 is supposed to have the most carnauba of the three and supposed to have the most gloss.

I plan on purchasing the 915 anyway to do an overall comparison, just so I can find out the answer to your question for myself...LOL

For the great price, you really can't go wrong!

Scooped this off another site, as I could not get a picture of the chart showing the different Collenite Product (they have a cheat sheet style chart).

6) How long does your wax last?

Liquid/Gel Wax (845 and 925): 5-7 months depending on UV exposure.

Paste Wax (476, 885): 9-11 Months depending on UV exposure.

Marque D’Elegance (915): 8-10 months depending on UV exposure

Keeping your car in the sun all the time will slightly reduce these figures, and so will washing your car constantly with highly potent grease-cutting soaps. The wax is meant to protect your paint from the elements, so anything more than a non-abrasive soap is not necessary. Many times, hosing off your vehicle and drying it off with a towel will keep it looking great while preserving the coat of wax you applied.

Google Collinite Wax Chart to see more.

I only use the 845 as my topper of choice and only because I like it alot.

915 is always one of those products that I wanted to try, but I didn't want to commit to a tin I'd have around for the next decade or longer. I use 845 now and it never fails to impress. The ease of use with a DA being a liquid is a huge plus for me. I easily get 6 months out of 845, so my sole reason for trying 915 would be a change in appearance.

I don't have the 915 but I think it would be worth the price . I may go ahead and order it and use it right over the 845
