Well with all the snow and salt in New York this week, I figured today would be a good day to wash mine and my old mans truck. The temperature was in the 40's and a lot of the snow on the roads has melted. I took some action shots of me washing his truck since it was way worse than mine, but I'll throw in a pic of mine at the end. Enjoy!

Nice work on the trucks!

Felt good today to bring out the hose and buckets. It was in the low 40's in WI too. Can't stand paying $7.00 for an inferior wash as the touchless wash. Our local self-service car wash is closed this winter.

I wonder what someone would be willing to pay for a wash like this. It was pretty labor intensive trying to get all the salt out of little nooks and crannies. I only really do it for myself and family members but have thought about doing it on the side. Not that I need to and I normally work 60-70 hour weeks, but I don't mind helping out a car enthusiast if they're willing to pay.

But it was nice to clean them off. I've been using a power washer a lot lately which GREATLY helped me out today.

I just use salt remover by whips wax as a prewash..or can use salt away or similar product...

That looks like a ton of work. The tail pipe was caked.

Great job. The finished truck looks completely different than the before shots.

How well did the foam work to drag the salt off?

The power washer took care of most of the salt. Probably the quickest and easiest thing to remove the salt.

Meguiars Hyperwash
Meguiars APC for prewash on wheels, tires, fender wells
CG Snow Foam for the foam bath
Meguiars Synthetic spray wax while drying the truck

To be honest, I power washed the truck which got off most of the salt. The foam is just another layer of "lube" for when I wash the truck. Im not sure if it helped any but it couldn't hurt.

2015 Charger SRT 392 ( with 1500 miles on it ). Got it when dealers were asking a premium for the Hellcats but had no idea when they would get one in.

And this is what sits outside unfortunately until I get a garage for it.

I know all about them Australian cars! I had 6 04-06 GTO's (at different times) aka Holden Monaro's and a G8 (Holden Commodore). I wish they would have brought over a Holden VF II Ute.

Heres most of them

Thanks! Its a GMC All Terrain X. The X gives you a performance exhaust, the black wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs on it, black running boards, black mirrors, the sport bar and black belt moldings instead of the normal chrome. I blacked out the GMC badges myself

it's a shame they are not making them anymore in Australia. Long live the V8's and the V8 supercharged

and from FORD the XR6 Turbo, No more Falcon either.....=(
