This is a simple side by side of these 4 products. It's my friends car that he never washes...Never, so I'm going to test longevity on all 4 and I'll wash the hood once a month. I'm thinking of just doing a mckees n914 wash each month and then test beading again after that. If you think I should use a different soap let me know

So I washed the hood with megs d114 and then polished with mckees fast compound and then fast polish, 2 eraser wipe downs and then taped.

Left to right
- mckees paint coating
-Meguairs ultimate fast finish
-Gyeon cure
-Wont name (not from AG)

Here's how they look sprayed down

Here's a video of the beading

Here is a quick video of me using the air dryer to dry the panel (turn volume down)

They all seem to be equal at this point, beading was the same, sheeting was the same and it dried the same. So all that is left is to see how they do in the long run.

Thanks for doing this. Subbd

Stick with the McKees wash since it leaves nothing behind to change behavior.

Unless the "Won't Name" product
happens to also be a 'Coating'...
I'll lay odds that the McKee's Paint
Coating will last longer.

It's not a coating it's a sealant but I'm fully expecting mckees to last the longest but will be interested to see if it doesn't for some random reason

Gyeon seems pretty vague on their claim of CURE durability but I'd hope the actual coating (McKees) outlasts what is generally though of as a topper/booster.

Gyeon claims do make it kinda hard when comparing their durability claim on Cure and Wetcoat

Gyeon Cure
DURABILITY: >6 weeks
SIO2 PERCENTAGE: >5%
CONTACT ANGLE: >80'
PH TOLERANCE: pH 4-9
CONSUMPTION: 30ml/car

Gyeon WetCoat
DURABILITY: up to 12 weeks
SIO₂ PERCENTAGE <5%
CONTACT ANGLE: >90'
CONSUMPTION: 100ml/car

I really like mckees a lot but the only think I don't like is the beading , and I know the beading is not important but tight beading is what my clients want and expect so I normally put a sealant over it to give them that. I think I only have one client who actually listens when I say beading is not as important as they thing it is

As long as they pay you for both the
Sealant; and the Coating (including all
of the paint prep that entails)...

I'm in the midst of testing cure and the nameless spray along with several others. As I recall from the last inspection, cure and nameless are both holding up about the same. One other nameless is blowing everything out of the water with durability, but application is horrid, especially as it gets colder. I'll try to remember to PM you the current standings.

Thanks for the review, look forward to the longevity test. Since I haven't used any of these products yet, what was the sure time for each product prior to the water beading test?

I think it was only an hr between application and first water test
