Hey guys, I'm going to buy some Meguiars Polishes soon and I'm abit confused. I'm thinking about getting #4, #2 and #1.. Say I did a car with severe swirls etc and I used #4, would #1 remove all the hazing/marring left from #4? Or would I have to use #2 then #1? Ah I'm so confused.. Anyone with experience on these polishes can you please help me. thanks.

I would also give the 80's series a try, get a bottle of 85, 83, 80 or 82 at some point. It seems like a hit or miss with meguiars sometimes, some paints they work great with, sometimes not so much.

I use the fine and meduim if the vehicle has never been taken care of. Most of the time is use #83 or #82 to start.

Yeah thats the thing.. seeing as I live in Australia it's harder to get products here. I went to my local auto store and they only had like 5 different meguiars swirl removers, no #80 series :( They didnt have Heavy Cut Cleaner but the Medium Cut Cleaner feels very abrasive! Like liquid sand lol.

Lookin or a little help. I want to polish, seal, and nuba my car this weekend. Im going to seal with poorboys ex-p and the next day top with either dp max wax or xmt 360. The only polish I have right now is the mirror glaze #7 which I have used under wax and it looked great. The write-up says the #7 is a true polish, so will this work well under the poorboys? Also should I use the white pad to apply the #7 with my PC? :buffing:

Im not familiar with megs products so i cant give you a complete answer but as far as the xmt 360 goes im guessing you meant xmt 180 since 360 is a polish and would remove the sealent.

#1 would be way to aggressive to clean up your hazing. I still use #3 and that should clean up your hazing. #2 should be the only thing you need to clean up paint defects, then follow up with #3. #1 is like clay with sand in it so I would only use it in very extreme cases.
