Looking to upgrade my wheel cleaner and tire shine, I usually use megs. Wheel cleaner and their can of tire spray. The stuff is fairly cheap but it does the job, I'm looking at either wolfgangs cleaner and tire gel or blackfires. Pinnacle was another choice but it's rather expensive compared to the other two. Any input would be appreciated.

I can't comment on Meguiar's nor can I say anything about Blackfire due to no previous experience with their wheel cleaners.

I will say that I strongly love Wolfgang's Tire and Wheel cleaner as well as Wolfgang's Black Diamond Tire Gel.

I feel these two Wolfgang products has satisfied me very much as a detailer to the point of no more searching around for a great wheel cleaner.

The tire and wheel cleaner is amazing on wheels, but work wonders on tires.

The black diamond tire gel is one of my most favorite product I have ever purchased.

Since using these two products, I gradually started to add more Wolfgang to my collection.

Here is some good information from Nick on wolfgang wheel cleaner.

Between the two options, I would say that blackfire and wolfgang tire gel are closely related. Both are thin consistency and both offer the matte/satin type shine instead of glossy. Pinnacle is a thicker gel type consistency compared to BF or WG tire gel. Looks a little bit glossier. All of them lasts about the same amount of time which is a few weeks.

If you are looking for something that lasts longer a tire coating would be the route to go with.

The McKee's wheel cleaner is good stuff, too. I just used it and was surprised at how little scrubbing I had to do on 4 year old wheels that had never been cleaned. Effective stuff. It "bleeds" like IronX. I'd highly recommend it.

How are you diluting it on your tyres? Some use it straight, others 1:1 and some even 1:5.
