While I may be new to Autogeek, I have been on MOL for the past two years, and Atuopia for just under a year. I have a very red MkV GTI whihc I want to keep looking it very best, and have acquired a variety of Maguiar's products in that effort. My baby get a warm bath every week with a detailer wipe down, and every 3-4 week it gets a new coat of #26 which sits on top of two coats of NXT. Every 10-12 weeks it gets a new coat of NEXT followed by a coat of #26. I was using the two bucket mewthod and keep the touching of the finish to a minimum.

Here is my very red MkV GTI, and a question to start things off with.

------------------------
I have been reading a few threads on other forums that were not all that nice to Meguiar's or to some of the claims that they make regarding their 'secret oils'.

Presently I have NXT topped with #26 on my very red GTI (see below) and I am looking for something that will gives a wet look & a high gloss shine while providing a good amount of protection. I have a PC7424 and have become very comfortable using it, and have no problem investing a few hours to get things rebuilt.

I want a sealant so if I don't use NXT or Meguiar's #21 what products should I consider to rebuild my protection? I have heard good and bad about Klasse, Zaino is on the list and so is Sonus. Ultima I'm not sure if I believe the hype. Wolfgang & Pinnacle are a mystery to me as I know little if nothing about them

Remember I'm looking for High gloss finish with a wet look, and so long as a gold plated scoop is not included with the wax cost is not my primary concern protection is.

AUdakota (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/members/audakota.html) & cPanelŽ (http://supercharged)

Thanks for the feedback and what can I say, RED ROCKS !

I have done some quick looking and it looks like both can be applied with a PC7424 which will address the large flat areas of the car :buffing:. All of the smaller areas and around the trim I will do by hand because to tape off the car takes longer then doign the entire car.

One other question, because wolfgang & Souveran have no cleaners in them can I assume that they can be layered, and if so what cure time should be allowed before I apply the second coat?

WG DGS needs hrs to cure no wait time on souveran. Don't give up on Megs just yet #21 has a nice look and durability is said to be a lot better then NXT. Having said that that red would look great wearing Pinnacle Sig Series II
