Has anyone used WGUC on bare polished aluminum rims? If so, how were the results? I'm about to coat my car and am thinking about doing the wheels after I put a good polish on them.

•My concern would be just how well
Wolfgang's Perfekt Finish Paint Prep
(a prerequisite before application of
their Uber Coating) will perform at
removing all of the polish oils/residues
from such a porous material.

•That material's porosity may also
play a big role in the amount of the
Paint Prep it will absorb; and even of
the subsequent Coating product itself.

IMO:
* The all-important "Test Spot" appears
to mandatory for this detailing task.*

Drawbacks to this IMO. IME, the more high polish you polish alium, the more porous it gets. Been there, done that. It takes away from the high polish. alum. look. Less maintenance if sealed - aka, no oxidizing. Double edged sword. Just gotta pick your poison - fashion vs. function

Thanks for the replies, I'm going to hold off for now until I get more info. It's not a daily driver so polishing isn't too bad.
