I guess my question applies to the McKee's iron remover product also, as that's what I have on my shelf right now.

I have Toyota clear coated wheels. Great shape, other than where they pulled off the tire balance weights when I got new tires. There are a few spots where the paint is chipped off down to bare aluminum. If I hit the wheels with iron remover, will this cause any reaction on the aluminum? I'd hate to have the chipping spread or get blistering.

Just thought if this-- same question, but pertaining to my McKee's wheel cleaner. Any worries there?

thanks much.

Iron remover works on iron, not aluminum alloy.

No worries.

I would put some touch up paint on them just to prevent oxidization.

•IronX is advertised as being safe
to use as a ferrous contaminates
dissolver on bare aluminum...with
this one caveat:
-Make sure to not let it dry up on
the surface(s) under direct Sunlight.
