Help With Deciding on a Polish

I have a 2015 Toyota 4Runner, color is Magnetic Gray Metallic. (dark gray)

Bought the truck new. Only time the truck hit the typical swirl wash is when it was delivered.
Since day one it has received the two bucket wash method along with foam cannon to prepare before washing. Paint is in good condition, swirl and scratch free.

I'd like to give the truck a good detailing and just make the paint pop, as well as protect it.

Already own / on order and plan to use:


Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay
Clay lube: GG speed shine
Iron X
GG 6" Random Orbital


From the research I've done, it seems like I may be able to get away with a one step polish since the paint is in good condition and has been cared for. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but would Menzerna Super Finish SF-3500 work for my application?
Seems like it will still cut and remove any imperfections the claying creates, while also provided a deep gloss / shine?

If so, would I pair the SF-3500 with an orange pad?

Any sealant to follow it up by you might recommend as well?

I would go with optimum hyper polish then optimium car wax keep it simple and easy.

If the paint is in good condition like you said, I would go with a white polishing pad. For sealant, I would use Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant (if you have a garage to keep it in overnight so the sealant can cure for 12hrs). If not, Menzerna Powerlock.

Meguiar's M205 with a blue Buff and Shine polishing pad followed by M21, or Ultimate Wax, or Paint Protect, or Duragloss 111....

They're all great, but that DG111 is some pretty tough stuff. You can also get the 601 Bonding Agent for even greater durability, and maintain with Aquawax.

The griots boss finishing sealant on a boss white pad produces pretty impressive results. A fellow ag member put a you tube video up of it on a hammered black truck that came out great for a one step. The one step products lack in longevity of the sealant bs a dedicated sealant but with proper maintenance I don't see that being much of a negative for you.

Agreed. The DG111+601 is rock solid and glossy to the moon. The longevity is insane when you maintain it with the Aquawax. Powerlock is nice, too, but I think that 4Runner gray would look great with the 111. Don't forget the trim! If you've not dialed in on a product, I highly recommend the WG Exterior Trim Sealant. I like working on Toyota trucks! Ha if I lived nearby, I'd offer to come help you out!

And yes, the 3500 would be a nice product for your application. HD polish is nice, too.

Seeing as you have Griot's stuff already perhaps looking into this polish with these pads. I would consider going to a 5" backing plate.

HD Polish with a white Buff & Shine pad. Follow that up with a Buff & Shine red pad and HD Poxy. Fantastic, easy products to work with and deliver great results!

If your paint is indeed in good condition I found my last Toyota paint responded well to OPT Poliseal. You could use this and top with OPT Spray wax for additional easy protection.
The Poliseal is easy to use and takes out mild marks. The spray wax is one of the quickest, easiest to use spray waxes out there.

Yes, the Menzerna 3500 should be fine )but I suggest a white polishing pad if you own a RO buffer). You'll need to seal it when you are done polishing it.
